25-26 Carline Safety and Drop Off Reminders

Carline Safety Reminders

  • There is no parking on 10th Street.
  • Always have your car tag visible for our staff from a safe distance during afternoon pickup.
  • Please do not enter the car line from Fortune Avenue; enter the car line through Friendship Avenue or 10th Street.
  • For safety reasons, we do not pull around vehicles in front of us in the carline unless instructed by staff at any time.
  • Please WAIT for a staff member to open the car door before students exit the vehicle at all times.

Drop Off Reminders

  • Every morning starting August 6th, we will begin carline for ALL PK4 – 8th grade students along 10th St. You may park and walk your student to the gate as well, which will open at 7:40 am sharp.
  • Students may not walk to the gate unattended but must have a guardian with them while waiting for the gate to open.
  • As discussed at our parent meeting, instructional minutes begin at 7:50 when all students should be safely seated in their classroom. This includes PK4. NOTE: Reminder, Morning PK4 is dropped off at the elementary carline gate, NOT the Preschool Door.  Those with doctor’s notes may be checked in late through the office.
    • Afternoon pickup for PK4 is in the Preschool carline starting at 2:50 pm.  You can also pick up later by parking and ringing the preschool doorbell.

Pick Up:

  • The afternoon carline begins at 2:50 pm.
  • Same process as morning carline (do not enter on Fortune, do not pull around, wait for a staff member, concierge tag displayed)
  • There is a $50 late fee for students not picked up during the afternoon carline.
  • Aftercare begins next Monday, August 11th, for all full-time aftercare students.

Safety and Etiquette:

  • Do not pull around the car in front of you in the carline (unless a staff member directs you)
  • Wait for a staff member to open the car door
  • DO NOT enter the carline from Fortune Ave
  • If you are running late in the morning, please DO NOT speed near the school
  • ALWAYS display your concierge tag clearly on the passenger dashboard or carry it with you when walking to the gate.
  • Submit authorized adults to pick up your student in PowerSchool BEFORE they attempt to pick them up. They must have a picture ID and be in approved in PowerSchool.

The safety and security of your child(ren) is our top priority.  Please be courteous and patient with all staff members and support them by cooperating with these procedures.  Together, we can keep the students on our campus safe and secure.
