Steps to Become a Volunteer
- Contact the School Office
- Email office@sjseagles.org for instructions and complete a Person Profile Form.
- Create a Virtus Account & Schedule Your Background Check
- Create your Virtus account and follow the instructions provided by the school office to schedule your background screening and fingerprinting through the AHCA Clearinghouse. Screening must be renewed every five years. Current Cost is $75.75 (Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Price is subject to change.)
- Complete Safe Environment Training in VIRTUS
- Protecting God’s Children 4.0: Required every five years
- Bloodborne Pathogens: Required annually
- Wait for Approval
- All requirements must be completed and approved before volunteering, chaperoning, or coaching.
Already approved through another parish or school within the Diocese? Contact office@sjseagles.org so we can check your status and associate your Virtus profile with SJCA.
