Good Afternoon Eagle Families!

Thank you for such a great first week of school!

First we would like to express our gratitude for your enthusiastic participation at the beginning of this new year.  We have made a number of improvements to our procedures from last year and by and large things have been running very smoothly.  As expected, we have identified a few areas of opportunity for a more efficient drop off and pickup.

Morning Carline: Carline opens at 7:40am and closes at 7:50am or once the last car in line has left.

• If you arrive after carline, the responsible adult must walk your student up to the school office in order to sign them in. This is for the safety and security of every student on campus.

• Students will receive a tardy slip to take to their homeroom teachers.

• Preschool students with elementary siblings may be dropped off all together at the Preschool entrance.  Any elementary student dropped off before 7:40 will be checked into Morning Care in the media center.

• Elementary/Middle School students will not be accepted on the preschool side after 7:50 as they are then tardy.  Parents will need to walk their older children into the office to sign them in tardy.

·      You have the option of parking and walking your child to the gate (not the front office).  There they will be received by a staff member.

PLEASE NOTE:  Students may not walk to the carline or into the school office unaccompanied by an adult for any reason.

Afternoon Carline:

·      Fortune Avenue is not an entrance point into the main carline. You may enter from Friendship Avenue. Please remember to be courteous to your fellow parents. Everyone’s safety is our priority. (Below is our map and parking statement from our 2022-2023 Parent and Student Handbook)

Parking: Parents and visitors are welcome to park in the lot near the PE field or on the east side of the school, on Fortune Avenue near the front office. Please keep in mind, Fortune Avenue will be closed to thru traffic at 10th Street at car line time. Parking on the south and west side of the school is prohibited. Please reserve parking on the north side of the campus (in the parking lot near the church) for preschool and extended care parents.

Afternoon Pickup:

·      If your child must be check out early for an appointment prior to 2:20pm, we must have received communication prior to 9am on the date of the appointment.

• Reminder:   There are no student pick ups after 2:20.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with following our pick up and drop off procedures.  We understand that life happens and no system will be perfect.  We have invested a great deal of thoughtful prayer into ensuring that your children are safe, effectively supervised and accounted for during their time at school.  Again, we have appreciated the overwhelming support and cooperation that has been demonstrated this first week of school.  Staff members will be gently reminding families of any corrections that need to be made beginning Monday.  Please model generous respect  by cooperating with their redirection should it occur.  Our partnership is the foundation of our community and we must enforce a zero tolerance policy for any verbal hostility in response to a staff member who is requesting a course correction.  Thank you for allowing us to partner with you on behalf of your children.
