National program designed to help prepare children for school. Provides professional services in education and development, medical and dental, disability and mental health, nutrition and parent involvement. 

Early Learning Coalition of NWFL

Free child care resource and referral services, financial assistance, VPK support to build a strong foundation of learning prior to kindergarten. Must live in Florida and be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the current year. 

Help Me Grow

Provides free expert knowledge on child development and ensures children and families are connected to community based services and supports. Offers free developmental and behavioral screenings. 

Child Find

Identifies children eligible for services under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA). Provide diagnostic screening, placement coordination, training and support to families of young children at risk of developing disabilities. 

Psychological-Educational Assessments

These assessments are designed to evaluate your child(s) cognitive ability, academic achievement, executive functioning, focus, and attention. It will pinpoint any potential barriers to learning and provide detailed recommendations to help close learning gaps increasing academic achievement.

Academic Tutoring Resources and Support

The following SJCA teachers are available for academic tutoring upon request. Tutoring services are a private venture offered at the teachers discretion. Payment is agreed upon between the teacher and parent/guardian.

Khan Academy  **FREE** Tailor your learning experience, practice at your own pace, close learning gaps, deepen understanding, and accelerate your child’s learning. 

Florida Virtual School   Offers tutoring services, credit recovery, state assessment and college entrance exam preparations.  

Tutor Doctor – Emerald Coast  Offers in-home or online one-to-one customized tutoring.

Center for Autism and Related Disabilities  Dedicated to providing individuals with autism or related disabilities, their families, and professionals who work with them with free consultation, resources, and educational support. 

After School Assistance and Mentorship Programs

After School Assistance Program  In partnership with the community, provides a continuum of services and resources of funding for educational and quality of life opportunities for children. 

Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWFL  Supports the development of youth and strengthens/encourages community involvement while developing positive self esteem and confidence that reduces risk factors for negative behavior.

Boys and Girls Club of Bay County  Provides programs, resources, and services to enable young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. 

Girls, Inc. of Bay County  Empowers girls to succeed by providing trusting, positive mentoring relationships that promote a healthy lifestyle, academic success, and life skills in a girls only environment.
