We’ve been hard at work this summer improving the campus in a variety of ways.
Some small improvements we are are making:
- Many rooms are being painted and rearranged
- Floors are being waxed.
Some major improvements that are currently in progress:
- Enclosing a portion of the hallway near the K5 room.
- Labeling all books that are part of the AR program.
- Building our new Makerspace in the Media Center.
What is a Makerspace?
According to Makerspace for Education, it is a place where “…young people have an opportunity to explore their own interests; learn to use tools and materials, both physical and virtual; and develop creative projects.” A Makerspace is about “turning knowledge into action.” It will include new counter space that will replace some of the bookshelves in the media center, computers, a 3D printer, and KOOV coding and robotics kits.
We cannot wait to show all of you the finished improvements!
